about the private, premium night tour
The Private Premium Night Tour is an exclusive feeding tour; a private experience just for you and whoever you are with. An experienced member of our staff will be your guide for the duration of this intimate, private tour.
We start with a complimentary drink and the story of Bonorong, which, by visiting, you are now a part of. We love to share with you all that we do, and the mission you are supporting by visiting us. Your guide will also share with you a video that highlights a heartwarming rescue story before we head out to meet our resident animals. Every animal has their own unique story and character, and we want you to connect with them as much as we do.
This tour is not just viewing animals from a distance - we aim to get you close up and personal with our critters, hand-feeding many of them along the way. With so many nocturnal animals, including the iconic Tasmanian devil, our sanctuary really comes to life after dark as they all awaken. Meeting creatures like Tasmanian bettongs and Eastern quolls, unique to only Tasmania, that you won’t see during the day at Bonorong and are even trickier to spot in the wild, is a truly unique experience that is unlike anything else you’ve seen before.
As special as it is getting to meet these wonderful animals, we also want you to hear their individual stories as to how they came to need our help. We hope to inspire you to help our wildlife and you’ll have the opportunity to learn of the threats they are facing and what can be done to make an impact. As part of this tour you will also take a look at our Wildlife Hospital, the only dedicated one of its kind in Tasmania, and see how this operates as a crucial part of our success saving wildlife and releasing them back to the wild.
This is three hours of the ultimate Tasmanian wildlife experience and you’ll be supporting a fabulous cause at the same time. It’s going to be a journey of incredible (and often very moving) fun.
What to bring
We advise bringing warm clothes, comfortable shoes and spare batteries (and memory cards) for your camera!
